Provençale is one of Europe’s largest producers of white marble powder (other names: calcite, calcium carbonate, commonly also chalk). Calcium carbonate is used in paints, plastics, paper, adhesives, fillers, sealants and rubber.

Provençale offers a number of different grades of calcium carbonate under the trade names Mikhart, Criscal and Calatem.

The products are also approved for use in food.
